Rules
These rules are the foundation of our Guild and the basis of all interaction here. They are as close to immutable as anything gets, and consequently infractions are taken quite seriously.
I. Cheating
Cheating is dishonest and therefore solidly set against the Code of Conduct we follow. We always play fairly, whether our characters reside within the Guild or without.
- We don't do anything that would give us an unfair advantage in the game. This includes using outside software (trainers and item editors), debug features ("cheats" built into the game), and exploiting bugs or errors in the game.
- We never accept items from or trade with people outside of the guild. If an item is in question, we discard it, rather than take the risk.
- We do not use any mod that has not been reviewed by the Security Master. A list of the approved mods can be found in the Member's Section of the website.
II. Communications
The Crimson Blade prides itself on having a very diverse membership, and asks that members respect each other at all times. We believe the interactions between our members should be held to the highest standard in order to maintain a safe, sane environment in which we can converse and game.
- Profanity and deragatory remarks will not be tolerated in any form, including, but not limited to IRC, ICQ, Guild channels, and email.
- Personal attacks on another member in any form are strictly prohibited.
- Disputes and/or arguments that cannot be solved between the members, should be brought to a Lord or the Chancellor as stated in the Policies.
III. Security
One of our utmost concerns is protecting our members from those who do not share our values. We ask all members to follow a few simple rules to assist us in our goal.
- Members should never give out passwords for their personal website and forum accounts, or passwords for games and meeting channels. If someone has a password problem, please direct them to the Chancellor, a Lord, or the Webmaster, who are the only members authorized to give out passwords.
- Members of the Crimson Blade may not be the member of any other organization which supports the same games. This currently affects other guilds or clans supporting Dungeon Seige, Diablo, Diablo 2, Neverwinter Nights and all Expansions of these games and may be expanded later as we add support for other games.
Members witnessing a violation of these rules are responsible for taking the matter to the Chancellor or one of the Lords. Screenshots and logs are always helpful in investigating problems that have occurred. Members found to be violating any of the above rules will be subject to a disciplinary hearing.
